The Fire that waited eargerly to be lit
that burning amber which kisses one's wit
The smile that the smoke draws across
The coins, chances & choices I wish I needn't toss
The Time that shall never return
the touch that stays and burns
The desire that doesn't go away
the words I wish I needn't say
The Flower beds that were still to bloom
the scent of love that isn't coming in soon
The solemn peace that isn't here yet
the promises of people I wish I hadn't bet.
