Just Another Day....

I went looking for everywhere
This thing people called LIFE

And then I settled down on my bean bag
tired and exhausted

The physical strength thoroughly used up
The mental totally worn out

A tear found a place of pride
Strode down my cheeks in poise

A strand of hair, blown by the wind
offered to obstruct the flow

Sitting tilted the mind still wandered
in the busy subway, the empty dark alleys

The soul not agreeing to agree
the cold defeat that it was to meet

Closed my eyes
and let out a sigh

When it tapped on my shoulder
and said, "HEY, I am Life. HI!!"

What the F***ing Luck

That the mind settles down, where the heart forgives the frown, the hand stands still, where the mind pays the bill, the eyes stop to stare, where the hands are too bare, the ears now hear, what the eyes agree to bear, the HEART then comes to stay, only where the ears hear what they say.

The Flower beds that were still to bloom

the scent of love that isn't coming in soon

The solemn peace that isn't here yet

the promises of people I wish I hadn't bet.
