The Awakening Moment Spent......

There are those moments when you come to that rude awareness of your own sentience. Hey, you say. I am not a rock or a piece of PVC pipe. I am not a tree or a dust mop. I am a sentient being! I am aware of my own existence! And how utterly kickass that moment truly is.

You may carry this thought even further and say to yourself: what a magnificent, truly remarkable thing it is to be a living being, to even exist in the first place! How majestic the Universe and how large!

We were not owed a life, or a Universe. They just sort of happened, without our advice or consent.

And then you say: Oh, holy crap. I forgot to do the thing, and pay the bill, and call what’s-his-face. And there’s that moment of satori done with. And you better believe that the next one’ll be a long time coming, my friend.

I Believe in YOU

This is my all time favourite description of myself..........If u believe in what I do, I believe in you too.....

"I don't believe in superstars,Organic food and foreign cars.
I don't believe the price of gold;
The certainty of growing old.
That RIGHT is right and LEFT is wrong,
That north and south can't get along.
That east is east and west is west.
And being first is always best.

But I believe in love.
I believe in babies.
I believe in Mom and Dad.

Well, I don't believe that heaven waits,For only those who congregate.
I like to think of God as love:
He's down below, He's up above.
He's watching people everywhere.
He knows who does and doesn't care.A
nd I'm an ordinary woman,Sometimes I wonder who I am.

But I believe in love.
I believe in music.
I believe in magic.

I don't believe virginity,Is as common as it used to be.
In working days and sleeping nights,
That black is black and white is white.
That Superman and Robin Hood,Are still alive in Hollywood.
That gasoline's in short supply,The rising cost of getting by.

But I believe in love.
I believe in old folks.
I believe in children.

when we walked that lane together...

All my days are spent, wondering along
The lanes and by lanes of our lives
In joviality and melancholy, happy and forlorn
Knowing that right is right and left is wrong

Watched people from far and watched them from near
Learnt that it’s futile to peep in the rear
Ahead ahead and ahead, one had to go
There was no place for doubt or for any fear

I always heard that there was a right time
When the bells would swing and chime
And I would know it all in a flash
That the world was all there and it is all mine

Never quite believed it, let people say
Things never looked awful, coming my way
I held mine and they held theirs
Till it so happened on a very fine day

That I met him, can’t explain how
When, where and why, you needn’t know
Days spent with him are no less than like
Sitting at the window, enjoying falling snow

I call him different names, don’t know what you’d call
He is my friend, my comrade and my hero
Hadn’t learnt enough words to illustrate him
So I settled to call him my angel, neither a fancy nor any whim

Sitting in respective quarters, we toured the earth
Dreams and more dreams, there seemed no dearth
Joy, happiness and love has filled the air
They say na… in love and war all is so fair.

From the mountains of Alps to the canal waters of India
From temples of Chidambaram to wild forests of Amazonia
We have been there numerous times, no matter the place
The love liberates us from the shackles of time and space

Though he has left sometime ago, I can still feel him around
He still lives somewhere close and brings me joys abound
The love for Him, was never the usual one, couldn’t define
Trust me Oh my friend, in worldly matters we are not confined!!

My Mother's Smile

My sweet mother’s dulcet smile fills the air
On dark stormy nights lights up our way
So well we shall fare.

Touches the soul, alleviates all pain of mine,
Often lose myself in the search for dear o’ thine.

Wherever I go, I can sense your aura around,
But I fail to reach out. Never have I found!!

It’s the eternal game of hide and seek, I lose.
Oh! I desire our confluence, my love, my muse!

Let the world be filled with praise and accolade,
For thou Oh Divine! Lights shall not fade.

Laughter shall embellish everyone’s days and nights.
Adorning like garland of pearls pristine and white.

TIME

TIME

Time has and shall never wait for anyone
But I await for that one instant
When I shall catch a glimpse of thy Divine Light.

Time’s own beloved lady is vista, panorama
Her varied looks manifest in stages
With ecstasy and poise
In rhythm with his drawing footsteps

I, an indigent poet, try to proffer my ode to him
Oh! The eon, the great, the profound, the magnificent
Oh! The prodigious, the momentous, the inordinate, the absolute
Please stay by me for a while

In that instant I shall endeavor to blend
My rhymes to Thy smile
And a mystic bliss shall pierce my psyche
Echo my mind’s accent
Enlighten my heart

And there by, I would surge in the Divine current
Never again look in the rear, just like you, the majestic TIME.
